YouTube Mix It and Eat It Series
Just prior to leaving the Exploratorium in August, we created a series of YouTube videos to populate the Exploratorium's YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/exploratorium. In a brainstorming session, I suggested a "Mix It and Eat It" series with Teacher Institute Biologist Karen Kalumuck and myself (a regular webcast team).  The concept was simple- create a series where Karen mixed a science experiment up, talked about the science and I promised to eat it- all for the sake of science education, of course!  Over this past summer, we filmed four episodes on the museum floor.  Below are those YouTube videos:,

Iron Science Teacher
Parodying the cult Japanese TV program, Iron Chef, the Exploratorium's Iron Science Teacher competition showcases Bay Area science teachers as they devise demonstrations around a particular ingredient—an everyday item such as a plastic bag, a milk carton, or a nail. In a fast-paced atmosphere where showmanship and creativity reign, science teachers are given ten minutes to concoct a science activity that can be used in the classroom. http://www.exploratorium.edu/iron_science/index.php

During my time at the Exploratorium, I helped coordinate and put together the production (not the web production) of these episodes.  I also presented in a number of the shows.  Here are a few example episodes:
